The Timber Towns Wine Show was held on 8 February 2019 and was a successful event with judging taking place in the Manjimup Town Hall and the Award Presentation Dinner being held at Tall Timbers Restaurant.
Like any wine show it would not be a success without our impressive judging team led by Rob Diletti, as Chief Judge and Matt Bell and Rob Bowen as supporting judges. They were joined by Alice York and Jarrah Prior who completed the panel as Associate Judges.
This year’s entries were slightly lower, in numbers, than previous years with fewer Gold Medals being awarded than in previous years.
Of the wines entered 5 were awarded Gold Medals, 16 Silver and 36 Bronze.
Wine of the Show and Best White Wine of Show were awarded to Pemberley of Pemberton for their 2018 Chardonnay, Best Red Wine of the Show was awarded to Latitude 34 Wine Co. for their 2017 Shiraz and Most Successful Exhibitor was awarded to Silkwood Estate.
The change of venue for the Award Presentation Dinner was very successful with pre dinner wine tasting taking place in the outside garden area of Tall Timbers and the Award Dinner being held in the unique indoor setting of the restaurant.
Another successful show with special thanks to judges, exhibitors and our very loyal sponsors.
